As I work until 5.30 I was able to speak to Irene on a daily basis. She was a wonderful friend and confidante and always there when she was needed for advice and sometimes comfort, and I was glad to do the same for her. We also had some great laughs and became very good friends over the years. I did speak to her a few weeks ago and she was very positive and still enquiring after everyone here at the Trust . I can still see her and Sue catching up on the gossip in the kitchen, and will miss her greatly. I know she loved her family very much as she often discussed them, and my thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.
